Spock - A Network Throughput Test ( vger.res.utc.com is default test host)

Test Button

• 500 packets of user specified size are sent to Vger's TCP Discard socket.
• The resulting bandwidth is calculated for the test.
• Enter packet size below - use byte values 38 - 1492 (26 bytes of overhead are added by Ethernet protocol)

Host Button

• Specifiy new test host ( DNS qualified name or ip address)

Applications Button (automatic applications test)

• Email with attachment (3 Mbs PowerPoint file)
• Computer screen image (3MB 1000 x 1000 pixels & 24 bit color)
• File transfer (1MB file)
• Web access (80KB)
• Multi-Media video frame (2Mbs small window "talking heads")
